Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebral spinal fluid support and nourishment of the central nervous system.
After extensive scientific studies at Michigan State University, Upledger discovered the dural pulse, (the movement of cerebral spinal fluid; resembling respiration.) and then advanced the techniques into what is known today as craniosacral therapy (CST. Today’s CST, combines the concepts of Still and Sutherland, into a holistic treatment that assists the client’s body into applying its own healing capacities.
