Horses are naturally drawn to and enjoy Reiki sessions. They are highly sensitive to energy and benefit greatly from Reiki, just like people and dogs. Equine Reiki or Horse Reiki restores positive energy flow into and throughout the horse’s body, correcting energy imbalances that may be making the horse uncomfortable and unhappy. As horses are extremely perceptive beings, they generally respond quickly to Reiki’s relaxing and calming essence.

Unlike other modalities, when I offer Reiki to the horse, the horse decides if it would like to participate. When offered Reiki, often the horse will come forward or stand still to receive the relaxing energetic frequencies, taking the energy in the way he/she needs most. In many cases I am able to pick up or sense particular things that may be bothering the horse either mentally or physically, and suggest possible solutions that will improve the horse’s wellness.

Equine Reiki Sessions

An Equine session will usually combine hands on and off, lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. The horse will end the session by becoming more alert and moving away. Many horses say thank you by bowing, nuzzling you or putting their heads in your hands.
